L-Arginine - Sustained plus Immediate Release by Doctor's Best
L-Arginine is a conditionally essential amino acid with various bodily functions. L-Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate slow and fast release tablets contain two layers. 500 mg of L-arginine is released immediately per dose of two tablets (1000 mg). As a result, L-arginine values in the blood increase rapidly. The remaining 500 mg is released later, so that higher L-arginine levels in the blood, and thus the effects in the body, last for up to 8 hours. L-Arginine is best known as a bodily precursor to nitric oxide (NO).
Benefits:
- Precursor of nitric oxide (NO)
- An essential amino acid in some circumstances
- Immediate and delayed release, effects last 8 hours
- Suitable for athletes and other target groups
- Does not contain gluten or soy; GMO-free
- Suitable for vegans and vegetarians
Precursor of nitric oxide, creatine and polyamines
Arginine is the precursor to nitric oxide (NO), creatine and polyamines. Arginine is a semi-essential, or conditional, amino acid. Adults can synthesize arginine themselves from other amino acids, such as ornithine, glutamate, glutamine and proline. However, in certain circumstances, arginine becomes essential. Then the biosynthesis is too low to meet the daily requirement. Athletes often opt for L-arginine immediate and delayed release supplement. Increased concentrations of L-arginine set in after 15 minutes after ingestion and last up to 8 hours.
