Turmeric Plus Fenugreek with CurQfen® by Doctor's Best
Turmeric Plus Fenugreek with CurQFen® is a product combining turmeric powder, or curcuma longa, with fenugreek galactomannans. This unique combination contributes to mental resilience and balance and improves memory and concentration. In addition, it reduces the sensitivity to stress and can therefore be used well in unrest, stress and tension. Turmeric Plus Fenugreek is a completely natural product and made on the basis of the patented FenuMAT technology. This ensures a very high bioavailability. The body can therefore absorb the substances in the capsules well.
Health benefits of turmeric and fenugreek
Curcuma longa (turmeric) is related to the ginger and known for many widely researched applications. Turmeric acts as an antioxidant and helps keep the liver healthy. It supports digestion and stimulates the appetite. In addition, turmeric can contribute to mental balance. Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum: Greek hay seed) is a safe prebiotic. It has a long history in traditional cuisines and as a beneficial herb. Fenugreek is rich in antioxidants, fiber and minerals.

Patented and biologically active CurQFen®
CurQFen® is a bioavailable curcumin powder extracted from turmeric with FenuMAT™ technology. CurQFen® contains the bioactive, free form of curcuminoids: small particles of colloidal curcuminoids delivered to plasma and tissues after ingestion. Free curcuminoids (curcumin, demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin) have a higher bioactivity and membrane permeability than conjugated metabolites such as curcumin glucuronides. Cellular uptake of the bioactive forms is an important factor for curcumin’s pleiotropic properties.
Widely used in Asia for medical applications
Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is also known as Indian turmeric. It belongs to the 'ginger family' and grows in South and Southwest Asia. Turmeric plays an important role in the cuisines of various Asian countries. It is packed with good vitamins and minerals including vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, D, E and the minerals calcium, magnesium and iron. Turmeric extract has been used to fight various diseases for centuries in both India and China.
Hormetic effects of turmeric
The unique combination of curcuminoids and the soluble dietary fiber from organic fenugreek seeds contributes to the maintenance of healthy cells and tissues and protects against free radicals. Free radicals can cause oxidative stress throughout the body. Antioxidants are beneficial for protecting against these harmful free radicals.
Turmeric contains antioxidants. Less known is that turmeric can also provide what is called a hormetic stimulus to the body. A hormetic effect occurs when the body is temporarily exposed to something that causes stress, such as calorie restriction, exposure to heat or cold, and fasting. Substances might have a hormetic effect only at specific doses. In response to the hormetic stimulus, the body becomes more resilient. Antioxidants with hormetic effects stimulate the body's own (endogenous) antioxidants in becoming extra active.
If you are taking Tamoxifen (a prescription medicine) and are considering taking a turmeric supplement, talk to your doctor first.
