Spirulina vs Chlorella
Spirulina grows as a blue-green freshwater and saltwater alga. Spirulina is often confused with chlorella. The basic difference between the two is that spirulina is considerably older and does not have a hard cell wall like chlorella. Chlorella is closer to plants, spirulina closer to algae. Spirulina is incredibly vital and nutritious and has little trouble with environmental factors such as climate change. It therefore has the potential to become a superfood for the entire world population.
Pure organic Spirulina
Thirty kilometers from the historic city of Pudukkottai in South India is Oonaiyur, a pristine stretch of land far from polluting industrial or agricultural activity, where the spirulina microalgae are grown on over 130 hectares of land. The soil is free from groundwater contamination and contamination with pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. As a result the organic spirulina in this product is low in heavy metals, yeasts and molds, grown without nitrate, fertilizers or synthetic minerals, free of GMO, and has not been irradiated.
Free from microcystins
The spirulina is produced without herbicides, pesticides, gluten and harsh chemicals. Cultivation takes place exclusively with natural herbal fertilizers and pure, artesian groundwater. Ultimately, the spirulina is third-party tested to ensure it is free of 15 different common microcystins, including ß-methylamino-L-alanine (BMAA).
Astaxanthin belongs to the group of nutrients known as carotenoids and has unique properties as an antioxidant at cellular level. It is made by plankton, algae and some plants, to protect against sunlight and oxygen. The astaxanthin used in this product is the patented Zanthin® and comes from the green Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae, or blood rain algae. It is a natural form of Astaxanthin. These algae contain the highest concentration of astaxanthin.
From the micro-alga Haematococcus pluvialis
The human body does not produce astaxanthin itself. Intake through food or supplements is therefore essential. Astaxanthin can be found almost exclusively in sea products such as salmon, trout, shrimp, crab, lobster and in a food supplement of the Haematococcus pluvialis microalgae, such as Zanthin® astaxanthin. Astaxanthin provides a red color. Animals that eat a lot of astaxanthin assume this color; think of lobsters and shrimps, but also flamingos with their pink feathers.

This eliminates the need for chemical solvents. Processing takes place in the absence of oxygen, which otherwise reduces degradation and chemical changes in the product.
