Product Description

Rosita Ratfish (Chimera monstrosa) liver oil is a truly traditional and primitive "whole food" from Scandinavia whose popularity originates among Viking fishermen. Ratfish liver oil is hand-made using a centuries-old method and carefully selected livers. During this process, no form of heat, no chemicals, no steam and no mechanical pressure or friction are used.

The wild caught ratfish from which the oil is extracted lives in the clean waters of the Helgeland Fjords, Norway. The livers are subjected to a rigorous selection process shortly after the catch. The livers are fresh: they are not frozen livers purchased from wholesalers but come directly from the fishing boat. Not even metal objects are used during the extraction of oil to prevent metal from inducing oxidation.

Rosita dragon fish liver oil is properly "RAW" and free of additives. The composition of the oil is not tweaked in any case, and corresponds to the natural composition of the livers. So it is simply "REAL" oil directly from fresh livers. The entire production process up to the extraction of the oil and the filling of the vials is handled by Rosita.

This oil is unique indeed. Rosita is the only manufacturer in the world using this natural, old extraction technique. The oil is produced in very small batches and the fish are caught only during certain periods of the year. Ratfish liver oil is therefore an exclusive product.

Ratfish oil is rich in wild and raw nutrients, Vikings from Norway named it "liquid gold". Its producers are very proud of the fact that they have held on to careful and detailed procedures in producing their liver oil with the highest possible quality.

Ratfish livers, from the clean waters of the Helgeland Fjords, have been extensively tested by independent laboratories for heavy metals and other contaminants. Tests confirm that the oil meets all European directives, even without the damaging cleaning processes other fish oils go through! The result is a clean and pure oil with all natural nutrients still intact in their most bio-active form.
