Kefir, the ultimate probiotic

Kefir is a fermented milk drink formed by the action of bacteria and yeasts that live symbiotically in kefir grains. This natural and evolutionary example of an interactive collaboration between microorganisms forms the basis for kefir’s benefits. This type of collaboration is also known as a SCOBY: Symbiotic Community or Bacteria and Yeasts.

The large number of microorganisms in kefir, the bioactive substances resulting from the microbial metabolism, and the benefits associated with the consumption of kefir render it a true natural probiotic.

A unique probiotic product

Most probiotic production technologies are based on artificially growing individual strains in a sterile environment. After freeze-drying, 'dormant' individual bacteria or yeasts are combined. Usually, the different strains in a probiotic have never had the opportunity to interact during the cultivation phase; this only happens at the last moment inside the body. The production process of our probiotics is fundamentally different because all microorganisms grow together and develop symbiotic interactions during the cultivation phase, just as happens in nature.

Elegant co-evolution of microbial communities

The microorganisms form small ecosystems while being fed during the natural fermentation process. Each strain develops in a complex environment while interacting with all other organisms. This results in very strong and potent probiotics. In addition to beneficial bacteria and yeasts, this probiotic formula contains many vitamins, minerals, amino acids and enzymes, such as calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, vitamins B2, B12, K and D. The prebiotic polysaccharide kefiran can be found in this product as well. 

Cultivated by hand on a small scale

The quality of kefir is mainly determined by the microorganisms present in the kefir grains and the way they are processed. Important in kefir production is the avoidance of contamination and production problems. Our kefir probiotics are therefore produced by hand on a small scale, in a dedicated and specialized production line. This specific and proprietary process guarantees optimal microbial diversity and nutritional value. These kefir probiotics are the most traditional and nutrient-rich product available on the market.

Gentle and raw

The careful, unheated, slow fermentation and drying process has been developed after many years of experimentation and analysis. The 'happy zone' in which the beneficial bacteria and yeasts best develop has been optimized to have microorganisms multiply strongly and end up powerful in their potential. All the good and natural properties of kefir are preserved in the resulting powder. This powder includes sensitive bioactive substances such as enzymes, kefiran, lactoferrin, fatty acids and peptides.

Over 40 different bacterial and yeast strains

The complex interactions between yeasts and bacteria and their dependence on each other in the kefir grains are the subject of ongoing research. The degree of interaction can be stimulated or limited by the surplus growth of one relative to the other. The microorganisms compete with each other for the nutrients on which they grow or produce metabolites on which the other organisms may or may not thrive. A well thought-out cultivation process carefully controlled by experts is therefore very important. Kefir capsules and quality

There is a fundamental difference between our hand-fermented kefir powder and kefir starter packs. Ready-made starter packs often consist of a by-product of the kefir grains with a limited number of microorganisms varying from 7 to 9 strains.     This probiotic is the best I have ever tried and I have tried so many! I have really bad IBS and I take one of these daily now which has helped my symptoms so so much! I hope this product never goes off the market because it totally saved me!

    I am so happy for having discovered this product. I use it alongside other major nutritional pillars (non processed food, organic, free of sugar starch gluten and non fermented milk). Have given up allopathic medicine and it’s horrible antibiotics for another way of living: taking care of the microbiome, key to a healthy body. Consequently, I have replaced the poisonous allopathic medication with homeopathic remedies, probiotics and the appropriat diet.
