Green Pasture’s Blue Ice™ Royal Blend Gel, natural flavor, is a blend for one third consisting of X Factor™ Gold Concentrated Butter Oil and for 2/3 of Blue Ice™ Fermented Cod Liver Oil. The cod liver oil is extracted from the livers of sustainably caught, MSC-certified Alaska cod while the butter oil hails from cows that have had the right nutrition and living conditions to create the richest butter oil. This unique combination product is packed with nutrients including vitamins A & D and high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids including EPA and DHA. Cod liver oil is also available in convenient capsule form.

Importance of vitamins A & K

Green Pasture’s cod liver oil is unheated and by nature includes both the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA and vitamins A and D. Although it is sometimes said that too much vitamin A may be harmful, it is good to realize that many people are likely to get too little rather than too much of this important vitamin for our bodies, especially children and pregnant women. Vitamin A plays a role in the cell differentiation process, helps normal vision, is important for the skin, benefits the mucous membranes and like vitamin D helps the immune system. Vitamin D also benefits the calcium balance and the children’s skeletal system, facilitates the cell division process and is important for the teeth and muscles. Special discovery by Weston A. Price

In his famous book, Nutrition and Physical Degeneration Weston A. Price describes how the Swiss long worshiped the butter of cows in springtime. During this period, cows eat fast-growing grass. In the butter of this 'spring milk' Price found an undiscovered substance that he called Activator X. Price found that this substance, which was later called vitamin K2, is mainly found in the butterfat of grass-fed animals and in fermented products such as fermented cod liver oil. He also discovered the synergistic efficacy of butterfat and cod liver oil, which means that there is a uniquely effective cooperation between the two animal fats. It is this knowledge that has led Green Pasture to the creation of its special product line, consisting of butter oil, fermented cod liver oil and unique blends of both types of oils.

About Green Pasture

Dr. Weston A.
