Fisetin from Doctor's Best contains 100 mg Novusetin™ per capsule, a natural flavonol and bioflavonoid antioxidant from the Japanese wax tree (Rhus succedanea). Plants make fisetin to protect themselves. It occurs in various fruits, like quercetin, but most of all in strawberries. One capsule a day. Vegan.

Candles and sumo topknots

The Japanese wax tree (Rhus succedanea) owes its name to the fat in its berries. In Japan, candles were made from it for centuries, and it is still used for the pomade with which sumo wrestlers put their hair in a topknot. Fisetin is extracted from the wood of the trunk, the yellow pigment that is also found in strawberries, apples and onions.

Made in the United States

Doctor's Best uses Novusetin™, fisetin from the trunk of the wax tree, tested for heavy metals and pesticides. The capsule is plant-based and the product is vegan.

Facts about this product

Fisetin with Novusetin by Doctor's Best

Fisetin with Novusetin™ is a natural flavonol (a bioflavonoid antioxidant) from the Japanese wax tree Rhus succedanea. Fisetin is an antioxidant substance that the plant produces to protect itself. It occurs in various fruits, just like the substance quercetin, though most often in strawberries. Novusetin is a very rich source of fisetin. The Novusetin™ brand guarantees thorough checks on heavy metals and pesticides, resulting in a very pure natural product.

Benefits

What you still wanted to know.

A flavonol, a plant compound from the flavonoid family, related to quercetin. It occurs in small amounts in strawberries, apples, persimmons and onions, among others. Each capsule contains 100 mg.

Novusetin™ is the brand name of the fisetin used. It is extracted from the trunk of the Japanese wax tree (Rhus succedanea).

One capsule a day with a meal, or as advised by your doctor or therapist. A jar of 30 capsules lasts one month. The capsule is plant-based and the product is vegan.

Little is known about taking fisetin as a supplement during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In that case, or if you take medication, consult your doctor first.

Strawberries contain about 160 micrograms of fisetin per gram. For 100 mg you would therefore have to eat some six hundred grams of strawberries, well over a kilo if you count the green tops.
