Fermented Cod Liver Oil Capsules by Green Pasture
Green Pasture’s Blue Ice™ Fermented Cod Liver Oil in capsule form is made from the livers of sustainable wild-caught, MSC-certified Alaskan cod. Green Pasture cod liver oil is fermented the traditional way: a mild and careful process that takes six months to complete. The end product is a natural source of vitamins and essential fatty acids that can be easily absorbed into our body. In the 1920s and 1930s, Weston A. Price traveled the world to study traditional diets and eating habits. In his now famous book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, he describes how the Swiss worshiped the butter of cows grazing during springtime. According to Price, this was due to the fact that the cows ate fast-growing grass during this period, making the butter richer in vitamins. He discovered a previously unknown substance in the butter, which he called Activator X; it was later renamed vitamin K2. Further research by Price showed that this substance occurs mainly in butterfat and fermented cod liver oil and also demonstrated a synergistic cooperation between these two animal fats. These findings by Dr. Price are the basis of Green Pasture's unique product line, which includes butter oil, fermented cod liver oil and unique blends of these two oils.

About Green Pasture
