Green Pasture’s natural-flavoured X-Factor™ Gold Concentrated Butter Oil contains natural butter oil that comes from cows that have had the right nutrition and living conditions to create the most rich butter oil. This special product is concentrated through a careful centrifugation process that was already developed in 1930 by Dr. Weston A. Price. Butter oil is a natural source of vitamin K2 and this fat-soluble vitamin works synergistically with the two fat-soluble activators in cod liver oil, vitamins A and D. The butter oil is also available in a convenient capsule form.

Green Pasture’s Concentrated Butter Oil is made following an unheated centrifugation process, is rich in the fat-soluble vitamin K, contains a combination of essential fatty acids including butyric acid, lauric acid, CLA and is a source of trace elements including manganese, zinc, chromium, and selenium. Vitamin K supports blood clotting and contributes to the maintenance of strong bones, while manganese supports the bones as well as the energy level, and functions as an antioxidant. Special discovery of Weston A. Price

Dr. Weston A Price was a pioneering dentist and researcher who traveled the world about a century ago to study traditional dietary habits. He was the first to observe a high level of vitamins in butter oil made from the milk of cows that eat fast-growing grass in the spring. He discovered a new substance in this vitamin-rich butter oil, which he called Activator X; it would later be called vitamin K2. In addition, he discovered a synergistic effect when this butter oil is used together with fermented cod liver oil. The story of Green Pastures butter oil

Butter oil is centrifuged butter where the oil has been separated from the proteins, making it easier to digest. Common butter oil is often heated, but no heat is used in the making of Green Pasture butter oil, such that nutrients are better preserved. For a long time, the family business of Green Pasture produced its own butter oil by keeping cows on pastures with fresh, fast-growing grass and milking them on-site. Subsequently, this milk was made into a high-quality butter oil via a centrifugation process. Due to its successful growth and rising demand, however, Green Pasture decided for its production to join forces with a leading farm in Argentina, which of course meets the high quality standards demanded by Green Pasture of its partners.

About Green Pasture

Green Pasture was founded in 2003 by Dave and Barbara Wetzel.
