FAQ
What are the benefits of krill oil?

Krill oil provides the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA. EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA.

DHA also contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA.
Krill oil also naturally contains choline, which contributes to normal fat metabolism when consumed in sufficient quantities.

What is the difference between krill oil and fish oil?

Krill oil contains omega-3 fatty acids that are largely bound to phospholipids, whereas fish oil typically contains them in triglyceride form. The difference lies in the chemical structure in which the fatty acids occur. In addition, krill oil naturally contains astaxanthin, a carotenoid that occurs naturally in krill.

Is Ergomax krill oil sustainably sourced?

Yes. Ergomax krill oil is sourced from Antarctic krill (Euphausia superba) and is harvested in accordance with internationally established sustainability guidelines, including those of CCAMLR. The raw material is supplied by Rimfrost™, a Norwegian supplier with controlled traceability and quality standards.

Does krill oil contain allergens?

Yes. Krill oil comes from crustaceans and is therefore not suitable for people with shellfish allergies. If in doubt, always consult the label for complete allergen information.

Can krill oil be used daily?

Yes. Krill oil can be used daily according to the recommended dosage on the label and as part of a varied and balanced diet.
