Sun in winter
The skin makes vitamin D3, or cholecalciferol, itself under the influence of UVB light. In the Netherlands, from roughly October to March the sun is too low for this to happen properly. That is why in winter vitamin D mainly comes from food, such as oily fish and eggs, or from supplements.
Made in the United States
Seeking Health has Vitamin D3 + K2 made in the United States according to GMP. Vitamin K2 is included as menaquinone-7, vitaMK7®. The capsule is plant-based and the product is vegan.
Facts about this product
One capsule provides 125 µg vitamin D3, 2,500% of the reference intake. That is higher than the European tolerable upper intake level of 100 µg per day. So do not take more than one capsule a day and do not combine with other supplements containing vitamin D.
Vitamin D3 + K2 by Seeking Health
Vitamin D3 + K2 by Seeking Health combines 125 mcg (5,000 IU) of vitamin D3 with 100 mcg of vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7 (vitaMK7®) in one small capsule. Vitamins D and K work together: vitamin D supports the absorption of calcium from food, while vitamin K2 contributes to the maintenance of strong bones. Vitamin D also supports the immune system and muscle function.
