The Origin of Ergomax
Ergomax was founded in 2007 by brothers Samuel and Paul Zonneveld. The foundation was laid during many inspiring conversations about health and the shortcomings in the Dutch supplement industry. These conversations led to the decision to start a new webshop, with high-quality nutritional supplements and a strong focus on advice and transparency. This is how Ergomax came into being: a unique and idiosyncratic webshop that quickly managed to conquer an important place in the supplement world.
A Sustainable Vision
Ergomax was founded on the belief that there must be a sustainable balance between human well-being and the riches of nature. Nature offers us an abundance of pure, powerful nutrients, but they must be used with respect. This vision is still at the heart of our business and determines our choices.
A turbulent period
In 2021, Ergomax was successfully sold to a larger player in the market, with the idea of taking the company to the next level. Unfortunately, this acquisition did not go as hoped, which eventually led to Ergomax's bankruptcy in 2024.
But Samuel and Paul Zonneveld did not let their life's work go to waste. That same year, they managed to buy back the company, determined to rebuild Ergomax and make it a great success. They returned to the core of the company: high-quality, unique products, transparency, and excellent customer service.

What started as a pioneering company in 2007 has grown into a specialist with a strong reputation in the Dutch supplement market. The Ergomax team today consists of enthusiastic specialists in the field of health, supplementation, legislation and innovation.

TWO BROTHERS WITH A SHARED PASSION
Ergomax was founded by brothers Paul and Samuel Zonneveld, who share a passion for natural health. Samuel gained a lot of knowledge about new developments in nutritional supplements in the United States and discovered how to optimally support your body. With his background in exercise physiology and Paul's experience in physiotherapy and disability care, they quickly knew that they wanted to make a difference in the health sector. Their shared vision led to the founding of Ergomax in 2007.
