Per daily dose of 3 capsules, this formula provides a 1.8 g animal enzyme blend: freeze-dried digestive organs (kidney, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, stomach, duodenum and ox bile) with added enzymes (amylase, lipase, protease, lactase, cellulase, phytase, xylanase, pectinase, hemicellulase, invertase) and 2 billion CFU of Bacillus subtilis. Ordinary enzyme capsules contain only isolated enzymes; here the 'like supports like' organ component of the entire digestive system is added, plus bile for fat digestion and a spore-forming probiotic. Ancestral Supplements uses only organs from cattle (and, for the thymus, sheep) that graze outdoors all year round in New Zealand and Australia: grass-fed and grass-finished, with no added hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or GMOs. The organs are freeze-dried raw (not heated, not defatted), so the heat-sensitive vitamins, enzymes and fat-soluble nutrients are preserved. There are no fillers, flow agents, stearates or anti-caking agents; the capsule is made of beef gelatine.
