What is Serrapeptase?

Serrapeptase, also called serratiopeptidase, is a protein-breaking enzyme originally isolated from the gut of the silkworm Bombyx mori. This enzyme allows the worm to dissolve its cocoon and emerge. Serrapeptase belongs to the family of metalloproteases and is known for its ability to break down proteins. Research has shown that serrapeptase is effective when taken orally, provided it is protected from the acidic environment of the stomach by enteric-coated capsules. Formulation and Use of Natto-Serra

Each Natto-Serra capsule contains 40,000 SPU serrapeptase and 2,000 FU nattokinase, along with 29 mg calcium from tricalcium phosphate and calcium stearate. The formulation uses Serrateric™, a technology that protects the enzymes from degradation in the stomach, allowing effective absorption in the small intestine. It is recommended to take one capsule daily without food.
