Nattokinase - 2000FU - 90 capsules

Doctor's Best Nattokinase

Nattokinase capsules are a Japanese tradition in a modern guise. Is this the first time you've heard of nattokinase? Nattokinase is a special enzyme from Japanese cuisine. Nattokinase comes from natto, a typical Japanese dish that has been eaten for centuries.

What is natto?

In Japan, natto is made by fermenting soybeans with a special bacteria: Bacillus subtilis . The result is a sticky, stringy snack with a very distinctive taste and smell. The Japanese love it, but opinions are divided worldwide!

Discovery of nattokinase

Nattokinase, as an enzyme, was only recently discovered. In 1987, Dr. Hiroyuki Sumi was doing research and accidentally stumbled upon the special properties of natto. He discovered that nattokinase had fibrinolytic properties. This means that the nattokinase enzyme breaks down fibrin.

Scientific research

Today, scientists around the world are still trying to figure out exactly what nattokinase can do. There are many interesting clues and indications, but in Europe we are not allowed to make any hard statements about this yet. The EFSA (the European Food Safety Authority) has not yet approved any health claims.

Doctor's Best Nattokinase supplement

The nattokinase nutritional supplement from Doctor's Best contains no less than 2000 FU (Fibrinolytic Units) of nattokinase. It is important to know that the vitamin K2, which naturally occurs in natto, has been removed from this product. Each capsule therefore only contains the nattokinase enzyme. Incidentally, the soybeans from which the nattokinase is extracted are not genetically modified!

Japanese tradition in a modern form

The special thing about nattokinase is that it puts a modern twist on an ancient Japanese tradition. You don't have to eat sticky natto to experience its benefits. With Doctor's Best Nattokinase, you can bring a piece of Japan into your home without having to cross the ocean.
