Green Pasture’s Blue Ice™ Royal Blend Gel, cinnamon flavor, is a blend consisting of 1/3 of X- Factor™ Gold Concentrated Butter Oil and 2/3 of Blue Ice™ Fermented Cod Liver Oil. The cod liver oil is extracted from the livers of sustainably caught, MSC-certified Alaskan cod and the butter oil comes from cows that have had the right nutrition and living conditions to create the richest butter oil. This unique combination product is packed with nutrients including vitamins A & D and high concentrations of omega-3 fatty acids such as EPA and DHA. Cod liver oil is also available in convenient capsule form.

Importance of vitamins A & K

Green Pastures cod liver oil is unheated and by nature includes both the long-chain omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA and vitamins A and D. Although it is sometimes said that too much vitamin A may be harmful, it is good to realize that many people are likely to get too little rather than too much of this important vitamin for our bodies, especially children and pregnant women. Vitamin A plays a role in the cell differentiation process, helps normal vision, is important for the skin, benefits the mucous membranes and like vitamin D helps the immune system. Special discovery of Weston A. Price

Dr. Weston A Price was a pioneering dentist and researcher who traveled the world about a century ago to study traditional dietary habits. He was the first to observe a high level of vitamins in butter oil made from the milk of cows that eat fast-growing grass in the spring. He discovered a new substance in this vitamin-rich butter oil, which he called Activator X; it would later be called vitamin K2. In addition, he discovered a synergistic effect when this butter oil is used together with fermented cod liver oil. Green Pasture took this knowledge to heart and decided to start producing butter oil, and later also fermented cod liver oil as well as blends of both animal oils, with which they managed to market a globally unique product line.

About Green Pasture

Green Pasture was founded in 2003 by Dave and Barbara Wetzel. The couple had decided a few years earlier to leave the fast-paced city life behind with their children and start a dairy farm on the green pastures of Nebraska.
