Green Pasture’s Concentrated Butter Oil is obtained via an unheated, natural centrifugation process, is rich in the fat-soluble vitamin K, contains a combination of essential fatty acids such as butyric acid, lauric acid, CLA and is a source of trace elements including manganese, zinc, chromium and selenium. Dr. Weston A Price was a pioneering dentist and researcher who traveled the world about a century ago to study traditional dietary habits. He discovered a new substance in this vitamin-rich butter oil, which he called Activator X; it would later be called vitamin K2. The story of Green Pastures butter oil

Butter oil is centrifuged butter where the oil has been separated from the proteins, making it easier to digest. Common butter oil is often heated, but no heat is used in the making of Green Pasture butter oil, such that nutrients are better preserved. For a long time, the family business of Green Pasture produced its own butter oil by keeping cows on pastures with fresh, fast-growing grass and milking them on-site. Subsequently, this milk was made into a high-quality butter oil via a centrifugation process. Due to its successful growth and rising demand, however, Green Pasture decided for its production to join forces with a leading farm in Argentina, which of course meets the high quality standards demanded by Green Pasture of its partners.

About Green Pasture

Green Pasture was founded in 2003 by Dave and Barbara Wetzel.
