FAQ
Why should I choose this fermented zinc instead of a regular zinc supplement?

Regular zinc tablets contain isolated zinc (for example zinc gluconate or citrate) that often causes nausea on an empty stomach and is only moderately absorbed. New Chapter ferments 15 mg zinc with yeast, whole foods and probiotics, so the body recognises it as food, absorbs it better and you can take it at any time, even on an empty stomach. In addition, 1.5 mg copper is added, because taking zinc long-term without copper can cause a copper deficiency, something many stand-alone zinc supplements ignore.

What is zinc important for and when do I need extra zinc?

Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system, the maintenance of healthy skin, hair and nails, normal testosterone levels, normal vision, strong bones and cognitive function. Extra zinc is advisable with a vegetarian or vegan diet (plant-based zinc is absorbed less well), for older people, when exercising a lot, with reduced resistance and with skin or hair problems.

What else is in it besides zinc and copper?

Each tablet contains three herbal blends: a cardiovascular blend with grape seed OPC, hawthorn and oregano, an immune blend with echinacea, elderberry and astragalus, and a digestive blend with aloe, peppermint, cardamom and artichoke. It also contains ginger and turmeric. So you get not a 'bare' zinc pill but a complete whole-food complex.

Can I combine this with a New Chapter multivitamin?

Yes. The One Daily multis contain 5 to 11 mg zinc; if you temporarily want more zinc (for example in winter, with skin complaints or as a vegetarian), you can take Fermented Zinc Complex alongside. The total daily intake then remains well below the safe upper limit of 25 mg. Do not take several separate zinc supplements at the same time.

How do I use Fermented Zinc Complex?

Take one tablet a day, at any time, with or without food. The pack contains 30 tablets, enough for one month. Not recommended for children.

Is this product vegetarian and free from additives?

Yes, Fermented Zinc Complex is 100% vegetarian, non-GMO and contains no gluten, colours, flavours or synthetic additives. It contains fermented non-GMO soy. If you take medication, consult your doctor.
