Folate from spinach
Folate was first isolated in 1941, from four tonnes of spinach. The researchers named it after the Latin folium, leaf. It took years before it became clear that there are several forms of folate, including folinic acid.
Made in the United States
Seeking Health has B Complex MF made in the United States according to GMP. The formula is the same as B Complex Plus, with one difference: where that contains methylfolate and methylcobalamin, MF uses folinic acid and hydroxo- and adenosylcobalamin. The capsule is plant-based.
Facts about methyl-free
MF stands for methyl-free. Some people feel restless or get headaches from methylated forms of folate and B12. Folinic acid and hydroxocobalamin are converted step by step in the body, without methyl groups being supplied directly.
B Complex MF from Seeking Health
B Complex MF (Methyl-Free) by Seeking Health is a complete vitamin B complex without methyl groups, specially developed for people who react sensitively to methylfolate and methylcobalamin. Instead it contains folinic acid (calcium folinate) and the B12 forms adenosylcobalamin and hydroxocobalamin. The other B vitamins are present in active forms such as riboflavin-5-phosphate and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (P-5-P). B vitamins contribute to normal energy metabolism and help with tiredness.
