Grass-fed Bovine Tallow by Ancestral Supplements

Native Americans and other traditional peoples have been convinced for centuries, if not millennia, that eating the organs of a healthy animal strengthens and supports the health of the corresponding organs in our human body. The traditional way of treating someone with a weak heart was to have them consume the heart of a healthy animal. Grass-fed beef tallow by Ancestral Supplements naturally provides powerful nutrients, such as fatty acids and vitamins. As an animal fat, bovine tallow presents a powerful source of support matrix for the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K and E.

Natural ingredients of beef tallow:

  • Fatty acids in bovine tallow create a support matrix for the fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K and E
  • Saturated fatty acids including linoleic acid (CLA), arachidonic acid (AA), oleic acid, palmitic acid, alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and stearic acid

Benefits:

  • Contains exclusively New Zealand pasture cattle
  • Lyophilized (freeze-dried) raw to preserve vitamins, minerals and cofactors
  • Rich in nourishing, saturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid (CLA), arachidonic acid (AA), oleic acid, palmitic acid and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)

The power of bovine tallow

Beef tallow is a collective name for all the fat in the body of a cow. Already by Native Americans, buffalo fat was considered the most nutritious and therefore most valuable part of the animal; animal fat was the basis for their age-old but healthy diet. Why it is so nutritious? Animal fat, organ fat and fatty fish all provide the right kinds of fats: those containing 50% saturated fatty acids. Our cells need a high concentration of saturated fatty acid molecules to function properly. Grass-fed Beef Tallow is rich in saturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid (CLA), arachidonic acid (AA), oleic acid, palmitic acid, alpha linolenic acid (ALA) and stearic acid, and these fats provide a support matrix for the important fat-soluble vitamins A, D, K and E. These fat-soluble vitamins reside mainly in the fat of foods and can be stored in the (fatty) tissues of the body.

How do organ supplements work?

Organ meats are an important source of specific proteins, micronutrients such as vitamins and minerals and essential fatty acids. When your body takes in these specific proteins, not all of them are broken down into amino acids: the building blocks that your body needs for different types of tissues in your body. A significant percentage of these proteins from organs and glands reach the bloodstream intact. The nutrients from animal organs not only support general health. Specific nutritional components in the organ meat also fit exactly with the cells in the same organ in our body that is susceptible to it, like puzzle pieces in a puzzle. It appears that organ meat nutrients are recognized by the body as organ-specific nutrients and that they are transported through the body to the corresponding organ in our body.

Eating head to tail

Animal organs have been eaten in all traditional civilizations, from Native Americans to ancient Chinese, for millennia. In fact, traditional peoples had the knowledge that eating healthy animal organs has a nurturing effect on the same organs in the human body. Today, we have largely forgotten the head-to-tail principle of eating, and some even shy away from consuming animal organs. Fortunately, there has recently been a revival of this ancestral way of life and of evolutionary diets: organ therapy is back. After all, it is part of an ethical, sustainable and healthy lifestyle to use animals in their entirety for consumption. Organ meats contain high concentrations of nutrients, including vitamins A, B12, D, E, K and folate, and are an excellent source of iron and protein. In addition, organs also contain nutrients that our corresponding human organs have a need for. Organ meat is therefore the ideal food for all who want to live healthily, sustainably and with due respect for animals and the environment.

According to the principles of Weston Price

Canadian dentist Weston Price (1870-1948) studied the dietary habits in traditional cultures around the world. He discovered that the original inhabitants of Canada attached great importance to consuming meat from animal organs; especially bone marrow was loved. Organs were a staple in the daily diet of our early ancestors, and for good reason: intake of fat-soluble vitamins and many of the essential minerals was accomplished through eating animal organs.

Organ meat of the highest quality

Ancestral Supplements products are made from grass-fed cattle and sheep native to New Zealand. With an eye for the welfare of people, animals and environment, the animals are well cared for, constantly monitored and kept in an optimal living environment. This ensures that the meat ends up being of the highest quality. Because the ingredients are processed raw and freeze-dried, the nutrients found in animal organs, including vitamins, minerals and cofactors, are optimally preserved. The supplements have been formulated with the utmost care and do not contain pesticides, hormones or fillers.

About Ancestral Supplements

The young Texan company Ancestral Supplements believes in evolutionary health theory, a vision that takes evolutionary biology as a starting point in achieving the best possible health today. For a large part this comes down to following the living and eating habits of our ancestors. An important part of our ancestral diet was reserved for animal organ meat. Not only because it is ethical and sustainable to use animals entirely for consumption, but also because of the many specific benefits attributed to eating animal organs. More and more researchers are now backing the idea of consuming animal organs to support health. With its product line Ancestral Supplements makes consuming animal organs accessible to everyone: in the form of convenient capsules.
