Potent amino acid profile
Collagen hydrolysate+ in the form of collagen powder contains the important amino acids glycine, lysine and proline, in high concentrations. The specific proportions of these amino acids are unique to the collagen in our body. It is therefore essential that we acquire it through food or supplementation. In addition, this product contains vitamin C from the acerola berry. Vitamin C is important in the formation of collagen across various tissue types including the skin, blood vessels and teeth. Supplementation with collagen hydrolysate+ is an excellent choice for several reasons.
Collagen powder from sustainable cod
There are several sources of collagen. Porcupine and bovine collagen are the most common. These forms derive mainly from factory farming and intensive livestock farming. Ergomax chooses a different route! Because we only want to offer the best and healthiest of collagens, we choose collagen from wild-caught cod that is both sustainable in origin and processed in a pure way.
Fresh strawberry flavour and rich in glycine
Cod collagen hydrolysate is a fine white collagen powder with a fresh strawberry flavour. The product contains stevia and vitamin C from acerola. The product has undergone an additional processing step, allowing the powder to mix easily with liquids and to be rapidly absorbed. With two tablespoons a day you supplement your diet sufficiently with these pure proteins. One of the amino acids common in collagen is glycine. Glycine is semi-essential. This means that the body does not naturally produce sufficient amounts of it. The body produces about 3 grams per day, but it requires about 10 grams per day for the basic processes. Intake of glycine through food is therefore necessary.
Collagen in the body
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the world. Of all proteins in the body, 30% is collagen. This so-called biopolymer is found in all our connective tissue, from the skin and joints to the visceral organs. Proper maintenance of collagen is therefore very important. Collagen offers the body strength, integrity and structure. Virtually everyone benefits from extra collagen intake; target groups such as athletes and the elderly may benefit the most.
Not just a passive tissue building block
Collagen is generally thought to be just a passive tissue fabric with only mechanical properties, but this is incorrect. Collagen also has dielectric and electrical conductivity properties. This ensures its acting as a kind of communication system that interconnects the entire body as a coherent whole. Collagen also plays a role in energy production.
Collagen: A liquid crystal?
Our body renews all collagen every six months. For strong and well-functioning collagen, it is important that you acquire the right nutrients, exercise sufficiently and wisely, and especially that you drink enough water. Within the body collagen is a matter that resides in between a solid crystal and a liquid state. This is also known as a 'liquid crystalline' or a liquid crystal. It depends on water for proper functioning. Drinking sufficient water is therefore essential.
