Serrapeptase - 120,000 SPU by Doctor's Best
Serrapeptase is a proteolytic, or protein-splitting, enzyme derived from the Serratia bacterial strain E-15. Serrapeptase is also known as serratiopeptidase, serrapeptidase or Serratia E-15 protease. Doctor's Best High Potency Serrapeptase is a very powerful formula containing 120,000 SPU.
Enzymes are released only in the intestines
These serrapeptase capsules come with a Serrateric™ coating. This is a superior alternative to enteric coated capsules. The unique coating ensures the enzymes are released strictly in the intestines and not in the stomach. Stomach acid can destroy serrapeptase. The enzymes are optimally absorbed in the intestines. The enzyme serrapeptase splits proteins and is active in the mucous membranes, among other places.
- Proteolytic, protein-splitting enzyme from Serratia bacterial strain E-15
- Serrateric™ coating ensuring the enzymes are optimally absorbed through the intestines
- Does not contain gluten; GMO-free
- Suitable for vegans and vegetarians
This proteolytic enzyme is present in the intestinal bacteria of the Japanese silkworm. Serrapeptase is used by the silkworm to dissolve the cocoon. As a supplement, it has been on the Asian and European markets for decades and has been well researched for 40 years.
Quantum effects of enzymes
Enzymes do essential work throughout our body. They are catalysts for biochemical reactions inside cells and can accelerate these processes up to a trillion times. How does this work? Enzymes make use of what in quantum mechanics is called the tunneling effect. A particle passes through a barrier. Imagine it like this: the particle doesn't have enough energy to go over a high mountain, but it can teleport itself through a kind of tunnel. It disappears on one side of the mountain and reappears on the other side at the same time. Without tunneling, enzymes would never be able to accelerate chemical reactions to the extent that they do.
