Menopause

The perimenopause and menopause are often used interchangeably, while they are two different concepts. Menopause is a 'snapshot', namely that of the last menstruation. The perimenopause, on the other hand, involves a period of several years. This period can take seven to ten years and it is important that you are both mentally and physically prepared as this new phase of your life starts. The 'transition' does not have to be a negative phase in our lives.

Menopause

The perimenopause is a transition from fertility towards infertility. A woman is not fertile after this period. In many women, the first symptoms manifest themselves when they are in their late forties or early fifties. This 'transitional' period will continue until the menopause begins: The body then stops releasing eggs.

Overall health

It is important that you are both mentally and physically healthy when you enter this new phase of life. No smoking, healthy and varied nutrition, more exercise and good rest help to bring the body in balance. Of course, supplementation can be part of the solution.

Hormones

It is not wise to just take extra hormones. Before you start, always read our product descriptions carefully. For example, it is important to always consult with a medical professional about the use of melatonin tablets. DHEA can not be used in combination with uterine, breast, ovarian cancer and with an overall increased risk of cancer.
